After attempting to call Mohammed about the V5 and him repeatedly hanging up on us because he was le tired we got in the car and started driving the 3 hours to his house to get him out of bed. On the way we discovered that Sam had some documents which we might be able to use instead. We rushed with him to the DVLA in Northampton only to find it was permanently closed. It was now 5pm so we took the car to Mahle so Sam and his workmate could finish off the sump guard while the rest of us pimped the car with ridiculous decals and spotlights. After comparing the performance of the Micra against Sam's Civic and having some dinner at his place, we got back on the road to London.
Thursday 17th July - 3 Days to Launch
First stop Wembley tyres to get fitted with brand spanking new commercial tyres. With brand spanking new 165 65 R14 load rated tyres we set about finding spring assisters for the car but after stopping at a few shops and being greeted by blank looks we headed back to the motel to get ready to meet up with some mates in London. We spent the afternoon walking the Thames and doing some sightseeing before heading to Camden for some beers. We eventually ended up at Hawley Arms and drank into the night.
Wednesday 16th July - 4 Days to Launch
We spent the entire day searching for commercial tyres for out Micra only to find second hand ones are like hens teeth. After receiving plenty of double takes and strange looks from courtesy of Sam's mods to the car, we managed to enlist some friendly Eastern Europeans at a wreckers to change out our alloy rims for steel ones.
